If anyone else does the same above and it works (or does not work), please post back. And the app is STILL not using the NVIDIA card for playback. Offline, spot checked, and it seems to be working now. And, they did! I downloaded some other content, went I then disconnected from the internet and opened the Netflix app to see if somehow, magically, and although it should have NOTHING to do with GeForce or the NVIDIA card, if downloads would play offline. After it installed and launched, I logged in, checked settings, and couldn't really see anything relevant as described in I have never assigned the Netflix app to run on that card, and that is still the case.Īfter running across a reddit thread that suggested NVIDIA's GeForce Experience software might be creating a DRM conflict in certain apps like Netflix and Groove Music, which in turn caused performance failures, I decided to go check my GeForce settings.Īpparently I never installed the last GeForce update (I never use it, not a gamer and it's geared for gamers so that's probably why).
The latter I use only with a few apps, e.g. One integrated (Intel), and NVIDIA dedicated graphics.

Overall, Netflix brings a great movie and TV viewing experience to Windows 8 and 10. The entire Netflix app is usable even in this multitasking mode. I have no idea if what I'm getting ready to post actually was or is the solution in my case, because it doesn't make any sense at all. Alternatively, you can have Netflix as the main app and pin another app next to it to multitask with Netflix in a bigger window.
